The band originated with lead guitarist Daniel Bath and drummer Alex Cook. Both refusing to adhere to the uprising of electronic music the pair focused their passion for live performance and songwriting before meeting bassist Jamie Slessor and singer/songwriter Freya McKee whilst studying at college.
The creative process stems from a rough idea, outlined by Freya, a concept or a vibe. They then take it to the studio and 'colour in' the idea collectively as a band. Their second release 'Distant Days' is based around the concept of progression. Freya recalls "We've all had an anchor chained to us at some point, it's how you cut loose from that experience" The Juxtaposition of theme against the music creates for an inspiring result.
Inspiration for them comes from Artists such as Alvvays, Mac DeMarco, Circa Waves and Two Door Cinema Club. They try to encapsulate the warm and atmospheric vibes of Summer in their music through cheerful guitar leads and upbeat vocal melodies.
