MUTO

We aren’t one to toot our own horn too much however there are those moments when you hear something truly special that make you really appreciate why you got into music in the first place. The productions of Sydney’s Northern Beaches beat-maker MUTO are an exact reminder of this.

Riding a steep curve of success off the back of his latest track Wildfire (ft. Deutsch Duke), a sold out national tour and shows Australia-wide for Groovin The Moo Festival, its safe to say MUTO is well and truly in a purple patch. Add to this adoration from a host of blogs like Earmilk, Dancing Astronaut, Thump, InTheMix and Pilerats all giving him the One To Watch seal of approval and Triple J Music Director Richard Kingsmill has labeling his music as beautiful and distinct, with great ideas and execution.

Wildfire carries a weight of emotion as it was written a year to the date he lost one of his closest friends, his stepfather. A song about loss, love and remembrance, three things that featuring vocalist Deutsch Duke closely related too as you hear him soar over the instrumental breakdown. The result is something very special that words cant describe, only feelings. A fitting video accompaniment for the track was shot solely on the stunning Isle of Wight.

In line with Wildfire’s release MUTO is pleased to announce he has partnered with an exciting team for the UK and Europe, signing to powerhouse label Virgin EMI (UK) and the highly credible CODA Agency for bookings (UK/Europe/Asia/Middle East) with shows in these territories imminent.

Not only has MUTO received a groundswell of praise for Wildfire, his previous instrumental rollercoaster Through The Fog also garnered massive cult support, being added to a range of global electronic radio and Spotify playlists and becoming the most played track of the week on Triple J. If electronic stalwarts in Flume and ODESZA are calling him one of the next big things, its hard to ignore the potential.

MUTO has already launched into 2017 with wide run of SOLD OUT shows across Australia throughout March and April, with his debut EP set for release in October and a global tour pending, there are big things on the horizon for the Sydney producer.
