Another hugely accomplished release ‘AreYouReady’ sees Prides continuing their natural move towards a well-rounded, guitar/drumledsound, complimented by elegant electronictouches.

Prides sound like they're having fun again, like 'Rome’ before it, the new singleencompasseseverything that people love about the band, adding a healthy dose of irresistibleexuberanceandenthusiasm.

Speaking on their absence from the limelight, and how it feels to be releasing newmusicagain, the band said: "We locked ourselves in a cabin to work on new material, withtheconscious consideration to do whatever the hell wewanted.”

‘Are You Ready’ sparks to life with some swirling fret work from Callum Wiseman, beforeStewart Brock’s instantly recognisable vocals open up beautifully. Backed up by someelegantsynth work and electronic flickers, the track deftly shifts into its huge, call-to-armschorus.

Originally starting life a stripped back 80's inspired electro ballad - according to the band,‘AreYou Ready’ was one of the first tracks the pair wrote this year, perfectly symbolisingwherethey are headingmusically.

"Lyrically it's about forgiveness” explain the band. "It's about those long nights you stayawaketrying to figure out what you want, talking till the early hours, drinking too much, smokingtoomuch, thinking too much. Saying the wrong thing, saying the right thing, sayinganything."

You can certainly hear from the new material that Prides are pushing themselvesforward, looking to better themselves; not afraid to take chances andexperiment.

To mark the release of the new single, the duo will be headlining DIY Magazine’s All DayeratBoston Music Rooms in London, on October 2nd. Tickets can be purchased viaDICEbelow. Support from Eat Fast, Will Joseph Cook, Trudy and The Romance andTBAspecialguests.
